Hi guys,

there are a mio. reasons why to choose a more natural makeup, eyeshadow and lipstick but quite a lot of time I still prefer the regular non-organic natural one. There's a specific reason, why I've never liked natural lipsticks, 'cause most of the time they were too glossy, non-lasting and feeling weird on my lips - I simply didn't liked to wear them. Nowadays you find much more natural and organic makeup brands and some of their lipsticks seem to be renewed and feel much more natural like a regular lipstick on your lips (if you know what I mean?!).

The last time I went to Müller (a drugstore located in Austria, Germany, Spain etc.) I also visited the organic cosmetic corner (as I had to re-buy my beloved Dr. Bronner 18 in 1 soap, as I already run out AGAIN!:)) where I've found this lipstick from Terra Naturi, one of their own natural cosmetic lines in the shade "05 Red Berry" - which is a lovely rose berry shade with a middle coverage.

Terra Naturi lipstick (05 Red Berry) - 2.95€

This lipstick isn't just freakin' cheap (2.95€ in total!!!!) but also quite long-lasting (while drinking something, not eating!) and a great alternative to a lip gloss, which you might know I hate a lot. As I personally prefer classic lipsticks or lip pencils instead of these nasty lip gloss and lip glazes, due to its sticky and non-practical habit to stick together with my hair during stormy days, where wind is blowing into my face. This shade is so classy and creamy but still modern, simply timeless and perfect for a day and night makeup.

Have you tried already one of Terra Naturi makeup products or do you even know this brand?!

Hi guys,

since quite a while I've been reading a lot of travel guides, books about specific places, which I'd like to see and visit or visit them again and especially New York, where I actually always felt really home and got a big place in my heart. I've been there already twice, have seen Brooklyn, Coney Island with its vintage styled wooden stores and restaurants as well as I've seen already whole Manhattan (Upper East Side, China Town, Wall Street, etc.) but still haven't seen every corner of this breathtaking place on earth, not even Harlem, Queens or Bronx.

Recently I got some of the latest GEO SAISON picture books from Dumont, which are full of high quality pictures and informations/interesting facts about each destination and place on each page in the shortest and most invisible form as possible.

For all of you, who have never seen New York or weren't there yet but would like to plan a trip - this book could be the right one, to get addicted to NYC's architecture, food, people and its unique atmosphere! It's a great book for weekend readings as well as to browse after a long day at work or while a study break.

GEO SAISON - "New York" picture book* 26.99€ (here)

Each GEO SAISON picture book look really unique, the texts almost merge with each photo as well as each book includes a few fold-up pages, which aren't just popular by kids but also by adults (at least I get as much excited as a kid would:)!).

If you're planing a trip simply visit the official NYC guide (here), I Love NY (here) &  the official Time Out NY page (here)

Have you already read one of GEO SAISON picture books?! What about you? - is New York maybe one of your fav' cities on earth too:)?!

Hi guys,

while I'm currently drinking a nice cup of tea (it's a ginger spiced herbal tea, for all who are wondering:)) and I'm also typing this post, which is kinda about my latest shower gel obsession. I know, I know, usually I do prefer taking nice hot baths, nothing changed - I'm really a bath tub girl but I totally felt in love with Original Source Foaming Shower Gels*, which have motivated me quite a lot to take more showers. Especially with the delicious tropical pineapple* scent, I haven't a problem to shower twice a day (hahahaha, well you should already know me:)).

Original Source - Foaming Shower Gels "Pineapple"* & "Lemon & Lime"* - 200 ml

They are available in each good stored drugstore like: dm or Müller (in Austria and Germany, for UK I'd recommend Boots or Asda). As they contain 10 times more foam than regular shower gels do - I'd suggest to use just a hazelnut (or if you like it extra foamy a tablespoon) sized portion.

Ingredients of Original Source "Pineapple" foaming shower gel:

The first time I took a shower with one of Original Source foaming shower gels* I haven't used an hazelnut sized or table spoon portion, as I've simply ignored the label (couldn't believe the "10 times more foam!" writing on the packaging itself) and that's not a joke, I really haven't seen such an amount of foam in my whole life! I had to shower my whole bathtub, as there has been so much foam left, inside the tub after I took the shower, that it took me more than 3 minutes to get rid of it.  Therefore try to use a tiny bit of  these foaming shower gels, less is definitely more!

Ingredients of Original Source "Lemon & Lime" foaming shower gel:

They come in 3 different scents:

"raspberry" (which I've not tried out yet)

All contain natural fruit scents (not the cheap artificial tutti frutti scents - if you know what I mean?:)), are vegan friendly and honestly one of the most foaming shower gels I've tried out until yet.

Some of you guys, who are following me and reading my blog for a loooong time, you probably know, that the "Vanilla & Raspberry" shower gel is one of my fav' shower gels from Original Source whole shower gel collection.

But about these extra foamy shower gels I'm really surprised, as they do not left me any irritation (which happens quite often, when I try out some new products, especially on my knees and arms), so the foam is really gentle. In fact my skin felt quite soft after using one of these foaming shower gels, which saved me quite a time, as I could skip applying my fav' body lotion as well as body oil. Also it's good for all of you, who need to save a bit more money, as this product will last you about 2-3 months, if you use it in small portions!:)

A great new Original Source foaming shower gel range, which will (hopefully) bring out more and more different scents, like limited seasonal edition (just thinking about "Mint meets Cranberry" would be nice:)).

Have you already tried them out? What's your fav' scent?

Hi guys,

I've been working on my latest DIY project the last few weeks (and I'm sure, it will take me next few weeks until I will see the final result). As my sister got some simple wooden storage boxes in different sizes, I got an idea to create myself a wooden white storage box, which I'll place somewhere in my flat. First I was thinking about an unique handmade couch table, but due to, that this box is made of thin wood panels, which are sticked together with steel, I changed my plans and started to work on my new vinyl storage.

The beginning was quite simple: cleaning the whole wooden surface with biopin "power cleaner"*, which cleanses thoroughly and quickly all washable wooden surfaces and protects them as well as the environment against harsh chemicals, as it is really skin friendly (it even contains Jojoba oil!:)), ph-neutral and soap free, the whole recipe is based on a natural base.

biopin priming* (Grundieröl*) - 7.09 € / 0.375 liter (here)

After that I've started to spray all steel parts with a rosegold spray (which I bought at our local DIY store) and painted the whole wooden surface (inside and outside) with biopin priming oil*, which is a solvent-free, translucent primer. It can be used on wooden surfaces, which are located inside (for any outside painting like: garden furniture you'd need another product like biopin's "Garden Furniture Oil" or "Garden Furniture Paint"). I've seen, that the shade of the panels had been a bit recessed after applying and that the priming oil* is really breathable and leaves the wooden parts resistant against humidity influences.

On plaster and other mineral substrates, biopin priming oil* has a strengthening effect as well as reduces the absorbency. But while drying it leaves a strong scent, therefore I would recommend to paint and let the wooden surfaces dry outside (as long as they are movable). All or most of biopin products are environment friendly, suitable for children furniture and toys, 100% solvent-free, traditionally made with oils and aren't harsh, just if you've a very sensitive nose (like me:)) I'd recommend to leave them outside while drying.

You'll find the instruction on each biopin product, how long you have to wait until re-applying a further layer or how many hours you will need to let it dry.

biopin "topcoat"*/"Decklack"* (white) - 16.99 € / 0.75 liter (here)

Biopin "topcoat"* will give you the needed coverage, if you have some nasty stamps or signatures on the surface itself like I had, and the topcoat gives your furniture a nice satin gloss without using any dangerous chemicals, as it contains  vegetable oils and resins, which will ensure to create high-end paint (as it gives your surfaces a lasting elasticity but unfortunately it can be used just for inside paintings!) No matter whether wooden or metall/steel surfaces - biopin "topcoat"* gives your inner windows, doors, baseboards etc. the needed coverage, which lasts for ages. Make sure, that you'll let them dry outside or while leaving doors/windows open, as this "topcoat"* needs an high amount of oxygen to ensure a proper hardening of the paint itself.

But as it's a natural based paint without artificial coloring, you have to be aware as well about, that the white will turn slightly yellow by time - so at the end you won't have a plain snow white paint, as it will turn more ivory, which is perfect for shabby chic styled furniture!:)

I'm still not finished, you can see it on the bottom details as well as on the non-perfect rosegold finish, which I'll re-paint with a golden/rosegold paint in the next few weeks, as it didn't turn the way it should or the way I wanted.

That happens quite often if you try to do a DIY and you've got already the expectation and imagination about the final result and by the time you start to do it, you realize, that it may not turn exactly the way you wanted, but still I quite like it already and I'm looking forward to see the result as well as I'd really like to know from you guys, what you think about my latest project (this wooden vinyl box) - any advice or what should be changed?

I'm really glad, that I got the opportunity to work together with biopin, to try their less chemical paints, topcoats, primers etc. for my project, as it has shown me, that we don't need harsh ingredients to ensure a full coverage or smooth paint, which will give our furniture a high-end finish, with the right amount of glossiness and long lasting quality.
