lovechock - The 100% RAW CHOCOLATE*

Hi guys:),

you maybe know, that I pretty much like chocolate - not in a huge amount or like other choco-holics BUT I love to eat each day (maybe twice:)) dark choco treats and this one from lovechock, which I've tested out and now I would like to show you - are healthy as they are RAW!


Laura de Nooijer the director of lovechock has traveled through Mexico and Brazil. She found a passion for the power of the plants, which were grown there - and as she was/is still interested in raw food she discovered on her journey what the ancient Mayas already knew about and used: the magical power of love in raw chocolate.

After her return to the Netherlands she starts with her own raw chocolate producing - and finally made her own (chocolate) business!

"Lovechock was born out of pure passion for chocolate!

"Mmm, it was 2007 and I had been single for 2 ½ years. Making chocolate was a comfort to me and filled my heart with warmth. At that time there was no 'raw chocolate' in the Netherlands, and I thought it high time that there was. So I got stuck in. The first chocolates were so overwhelmingly delicious that I proudly got all my friends to taste them.

The first orders followed immediately after. In the beginning, in my enthusiasm, I literally threw everything I could think of into the chocolate. But gradually I became more discerning and began to learn the 'art of leaving things out'. And that is how the first Lovechock flavours were born.

"I am still learning new things about chocolate every day. Making chocolate is a beautiful art. I love playing with ingredients, flavours, the effects and the magic of chocolate. For me, cacao is a sacred plant. It is full of love, joyfulness and humour. I want to bring people back to experiencing the quintessence of the cacao plant."

They choose the best raw, cold pressed cacao beans, so that the antioxidants and "love chemicals" remain intact! After they select 100% organic ingredients and choose to combine whole pieces of superfruits and  nuts. lovechock's cacao is produced in an honest way with a fair wage for the farmers too!:)

Superfoods are full of antioxidants, vitamines, minerals, aminoacids etc. - which are responsible for a healthy lifestyle and a longterm life!

Raw Cocoa - rich in antioxidants and "love chemicals", intensive "true"/real choco flavour, positively affect te circulatory system and may boost cognitive abilites, it also could reduce the cholesterol levels and it's a good anticancer ,brain stimulator, cough preventor and reduce blood pressure!

What's RAW?

It's another kind of diet, in which only fresh unheated vegetable foods are consumed - lot's of juices/smoothies/salads, fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds! While you're consuming the raw food, vitamines, minerals and enzymes remain intact! It's easily abosrbed into the body than when you're eating processed and cooked food or meal!

Raw, unroasted nuts are full of enzymes. By soaking them in water, the enzymes come to life and can be planted to produce new trees. This is also true of the cacao bean, which is the seed of the cacao fruit.

Lovechock says:

Lucuma -  has an unique flavor of maple and sweet potato, it's very nutritious and contains a high portion of carotene, vitamine B3 and other B vitamines! 
Maca - 10-gram serving of dried maca generally containing 52 µg of iodine and it's common in other foods with high levels of glucosinolate, natural aphrodisiac.
Gojiberries - contain many nutrients and phytochemicals like: amino acids, fatty acids, carotenoids, antioxidants, calcium, potassium, iron, zinc and riboflavin or called vitamine B2!

Mullberries - it's widely used in pies, tarts, wines, cordials and tea, mature plant contains significant amounts of resveratrol
Incaberries - the contains possibly polyphenols and carotenoids, have also an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties - the crude extract has in vitro evidence for activity against markers of inflammation and lung cancer also against diabetes and hypertension mechanisms. In folk medicine it was in fact used to treat cancer, leukemia, malaria, asthma, hepatitis, dermatitis or rheumatism! Such a superfruit - isn't it?!
Quinoa - it's full of dietary fiber, phosphorus, high in magnesium and iron, a good source of calcium and gluten-free! It contains in fact more protein than brown rice, potatoes, barley and millet BUT less than wild rice and oats!

Coconut Blossom Nectar - rich in minerals and antioxidants. It has a very high ORAC value. (ORAC is a scale which measures antioxidants.) Antioxidants neutralize free radicals in the body. This natural sugar also has a low GI value (low glycemic index) which means that, unlike other (refined) sugars, it does not cause sharp changes in the blood sugar levels, or the so-called 'sugar dip'.

Lovechock is proud of to be the first chocolate producer in the Netherlands to use coconut blossom nectar as a sweetener!

cacao mass*, cacao butter*, dried pineapple* (20%),  dried coconut blossom nectar*, dried physalis berries* (5%), dried mango*, lucuma powder*, bourbon vanilla*, sea salt. Chocolate part contains: minimum 80% cacao solids. (per bar: 1000kj/239kcal, sugar 10g, fat 18g/acids 9g)

1. Mullberry/Vanilla (Maulbeere/Vanille)  2. Goji/Orange (Goji/Orange):


1. Sweetened with dried coconut-blossom nectar. Milk-/Soy-/Gluten-Free. Can contain traces of nuts/hard and natural fragments.

Ingredients:

cacao mass*, cacao butter*, dried mulberries* (20%),  dried coconut blossom nectar*, dried quinoa*, lucuma powder*, bourbon vanilla* (1%), cayenne pepper, sea salt. Chocolate part contains: minimum 81% cacao solids. (per bar: 996kj/238kcal, sugar 8g, fat 18g/acids 9g)

2. Sweetened with dried coconut-blossom nectar. Milk-/Soy-/Gluten-Free. Can contain traces of nuts/hard and natural fragments.

Ingredients:

cacao mass*, cacao butter*, dried coconut blossom nectar*, rehydrated buckwheat*, dried goji berries* (9%), lucuma powder*, bourbon vanilla*, cinnamon powder*, orange oil*, orange blossom*, sea salt. Chocolate part contains: minimum 81% cacao solids. (per bar: 1025kj/244kcal, sugar 4g, fat 19g/acids 10g)

1. Cherry/Chili (Kirsche/Chilli), 2. Almond/Fig (Mandel/Feige), :


1. Sweetened with dried coconut-blossom nectar. Milk-/Soy-/Gluten-Free. Can contain traces of nuts/hard and natural fragments.

Ingredients:

cacao mass*, cacao butter*, dried cherries (18*), dried coconut blossom nectar*, raisins*, cacao nibs* (10%), lucuma powder*, cinnamon*, cayenne pepper*, vanilla*, sea salt. Chocolate part contains: minimum 80% cacao solids.
(per bar: 965kj/230kcal, sugar 8.7g, fat 17.3g/acids 9.3g)

2.  Sweetened with dried coconut-blossom nectar. Milk-/Soy-/Gluten-Free. Can contain traces of nuts/hard and natural fragments.

Ingredients:

cacao mass*, cacaobutter*, dried coconut blossom nectar*, dried figs* (12%), almonds* (11%), raisins*, lucuma powder*, maca powder*, aniseed*, bourbon vanilla, cinnamon powder*, sea salt. Chocolate part contains: minimum 80% cacao solids. (per bar: 981kj/234kcal, sugar 7g, fat 18g/acids 9g)
 

All lovechock raw chocolate bars should be store in a cool, dry place between 12 and 17 °C!
 
The packagin' of Lovechock's raw chocolate bars is fully ecological and earth-friendly! As packaged in ‘foil 4 soil’ - Lovechock is one of the first chocolate bars with home compostable foil.


This cellulose foil is made from wood pulp which comes from trees in sustainable cultivated forests (PEFC and FSC). You can simply throw away the foil in the organic waste bin! 


Lovechock also strives to be 100% ecological in its choice of packaging. To this end, we use the re-sealable PEFC wrapper. The cardboard is made from trees in sustainable cultivated forests where the socio-cultural values of the community are respected. The inside of the new cardboard wrapper is printed with organic ink, and can be thrown away in the old paper container for recycling.

That's something, which I REALLY appreciate while I'm enjoying my raw chocolate bar - as it's something made with love and earth-friendly too! We humans are a huge community on earth and  should be friendly to our land/country in reducing unnecessary (plastic or long-term) packaging for our products!
